Among all the generals of the different dynasties, Kuan Gung of the Han State is the luckiest. He's known for his loyalty, justice and bravity. Altogether 16 emperors since the Sui Dynasty conferred various titles on him, from "marquis, king and emperor to saint." Kuan Gung's birthname was Guan Yu. he was born in Changping Village, Xiezhou Town of Sharixi Province in the year 160. He was regarded as a handsome man. Later he, Lu Bei and Zhang Fei forged brotherhood in the Peach Garden. Then he helped Liu Bei in the effort to restore the Han power. After his outstanding military records, he was confered as General. In the 24th year of the Jian'an Reign, Eastern Han Dynasty, Guan Yu lost Jinzhou to his enemy because of his negligence. While on the way to flee to Maicheng he was caught and killed by Pan Zhang, a general from Sun Quan's army. Afraid of Lu Bei's revenge, Sun Quan presented Guan Yu's head to Cao Cao. Knowing Sun's malicious scheme, Cao Cao had a wood body carved and buried with Guan's head at southern Luoyang. While Guan's body was buried by Sun Cuan in Dangyang. | ||||||||||||||||

Like everything Chinese. Shiwan has a Long history and Shiwan Ceramics date back to the Neolithic Period. Liu, Chuan was born in 1916 in Shiwan, Foshan, Guang Dong, China. He became a child laborer at the age of 12 in Shiwan Pottery Factory. He learned a lot from his master, but worked and practiced alone at night. At 15 he created his first piece. At the age of 18 he created the Sculpture �Zhang Fei� which was greatly admired. From that moment he established his name on Shiwan pottery productions. Since 1949 he never stops working, and pieces such as �Qu Yuan�, shows his mastery as a craftsman and as an artist. Since 83 years of the creative art of pottery modeling. Liu, Chuan has famed the world over for his good and a large number of artistic works which have been handed down from generations to generations. For the sake of the outstanding achievements in the art of pottery creation of Shiwan, he is granted the honored title of 'tCrafty Artist" by the light Industry Department of People's Republic of China.
